Wow, so with a good year Bane has a legit chance to become TCU's all-time leading scorer.

The Frogs have 31 regular-season games and would be guaranteed at least 1 postseason game in the Big 12 tournament.

If he's healthy, in 32 games he'd need to average 19.8 per game to reach Browder.  Obviously, more games would create more opportunities and drive that required average down.

I saw that we are picked to finish last in the conference this year.  Are we going to be that bad? 😞

A few quick updates after the win over ULaLa:

-The Frogs, collectively, set a new school record by hitting 18 three-pointers last night.

-Samuel passed Craig Sibley on the all-time blocks list - he's now #7, and needs 17 to pass Karviar Shepherd for #6

-Bane passed the 1,300-point mark for his career, and is now 123 points away from passing Gary Turner for #10 on the all-time scoring list

-The victory puts Dixon two away from reaching 400 for his career, and was the 70th for him at TCU.  With one more, he'll tie Matty Bell for #8 on the TCU coaching wins list.

In last night's win over Illinois State, Desmond Bane passed Vladimir Brodziansky on the career scoring list.  He's now in 11th place all-time with 1,384 points.  Next up is passing Gary Turner and cracking the Top 10.  He needs 43 points to do so, and is now 503 points away from breaking Darrell Browder's school record.

Other quick hits:

-Bane passed Malcolm Johnson last night for #8 on the career 3's made list.  He needs 5 more to pass Jeff Jacobs for #7 and 66 more to break Corey Santee's school record.

-Kevin Samuel needs 9 blocks to pass Karviar Shepher for #6 on the career blocks list.

-Jamie Dixon's next win will be his 75th with the Frogs,  and will pull him into a tie with the late Neil Dougherty for #6 in coaching wins at TCU.
