Moving from analyst to OC? Seems like anyone would.

I bet he means, why Baylor?

Curious as to why Fedora would take a gig like that?

Kind of both.  I thought he was more HC material.

Also, why Waco? gag!

Well, as far as I know, TCU didn't offer. We probably could have had him.

Rocky Long has retired as head coach at San Diego State, turning that job over to his defensive line coach, Brady Hoke. Long had been Hoke's defensive coordinator before becoming HC when Hoke went to Michigan. But Long's not through coaching, he's just tired of head coach BS. He is going to be defensive coordinator at New Mexico, where he used to be head coach. The current UNM HC, Danny Gonzales, was one of Long's assistants at UNM and SDSU.

And some people think coaching is an incestuous profession.

That Dantonio news came as a shock to me, but the only Michigan State fan I know told me this had been brewing for a while.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic says candidates 1 and 1A will be Pat Narduzzi at Pitt and Luke Fickell at Cincinnati

Apparently, Bret Bielema is the front runner for the MSU job after Luke Fickell decides to stay at Cincy.

Harbaugh vs. Bielema will be pretty saucy!

Mark Dantonio retiring from Michigan State

I always liked him (mostly from my viewing of the MSU-Rapist Cotton Bowl), but there’s been some nasty sexual assault issues swirling around that program.

1) LSU hired former NFL head coach Scott Linehan as its passing game coordinator; when you pay assistants as much as LSU does, guys with NFL experience become interested.

Ironically, the same thing happens when you pay players...

Sounds like, after initially turning them down, Mel Tucker has now agreed to become Michigan State's new coach.

So now Colorado is open.  Get paid millions and live in Boulder? I'll take it.
