CP4. What could have been.

Talking about football, yeah. But, he's got his life turned around and is on the straight and narrow according to CGP. I'm really proud of the work he did to accomplish that.

My favorite album from them. CD released on March 26th, 2002...

R-538495-1288891232.jpeg.jpg

And later (2016), it got a 180g pressing release...

R-8457230-1463226948-9999.jpeg.jpg

You can always use a little sermon from the Reverend. CD only, released on February 26th, 2002...

R-1342534-1211223415.jpeg.jpg

This is largely a make up for my vote of the best blues album of the 1990s at #97. But as a posthumous compilation, it is still awesome, because it is Junior. They lied with the title of it though, because "Burn in Hell" is absent from the track list...

And...

R-3433792-1439572130-4871.jpeg.jpg

The last album he released while alive. And it was spectacular. My favorite American. Released on November 5th, 2002...

R-6058756-1422193557-2777.jpeg.jpg

And...

R-518507-1231875277.jpeg.jpg

Still doesn't contain my favorite song by them, but neither did their breakout album, nor did their follow up to that album. That song (and particular version of that song) was only on a soundtrack. This LP was originally only offered in Europe on October 29th, 2002...

And...

The Leeds Talk-o-Phone disc record made its debut in 1902. The company was founded in 1894, but had only produced cylinders before. A single sided disc record label, circa 1904...

And a bonus...

the-bryan-times-google-news-archive-sear

The Red Seal (Gramophone/Victor/RCA/etc.) concept and premium priced records were born about 1902...

1925...

Apologies for all the harder stuff for 2001; mainstream music was at a low point for my tastes.

Other than Panzerchrist, this is as hard as I will go here. My favorite of the "Big 4" of thrash. My favorite album by them. The only quibble I have with it is that the mastering was the same as the CD and mixed hot (but not as bad as what is coming up). September 11, 2001 (with the less offensive cover sleeve)...

R-480613-1547371310-3305.jpeg.jpg

And (Europe release)...

R-480613-1547371489-6552.jpeg.jpg

Solid hard rock. Major label debut that was equally as great as their previous 1999 indie label release. Great vocals. CD only release. September 11, 2001...

R-884811-1416154230-4082.jpeg.jpg

It wasn't as good as their #98 option, but I enjoyed it a lot. CD released on May 22, 2001...

R-408817-1162593120.jpeg.jpg

Considered one of the "Teutonic Big 4". Great speed, but definitely not as hard/heavy as the first one above. Released on CD on October 22, 2001...

R-1852555-1403249757-8945.jpeg.jpg

And later (2007) it got an Italian vinyl release...

R-1852555-1403249782-5767.jpeg.jpg

This was an underrated bluesy rock album. CD only release that launched on March 12th, 2001...

R-2453202-1284898861.jpeg.jpg

In Camden, New Jersey, the Victor Talking Machine Company was formed as a merger between the two patent holders (and their business partners) of the gramophone and the record disc. Their history is too immense to even attempt to cover here, so see the Wiki link attached to the previous sentence. Victor record from 1902...

(And thank y'all for tolerating the 80+ days of this countdown shtick. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, and only one more post left of having to put up with my horrible musical tastes!)

Apologies from me and my bit as well as the eve of the season is marked with the only guy (given my incomplete accounting of some of the other professional leagues ... European basketball for instance, or I could start mining minor league baseball, but that is a rather large Pandora's box) who wore a TCU uniform and played in a major North American major league and who wore #1 is turncoat ...

Image result for scott brooks philadelphia 76ers

Scott Brooks, who wore it for the 1989-90 76ers ...

Image result for scott brooks minnesota timberwolves

... the 91-92 T-wolves ...

Image result for scott brooks houston rockets

... the 93-95 Rockets ...

Image result for scott brooks dallas mavericks

... and the 95-96 Mavs.  Ironic that a guy who left TCU because, according to Jim Killingsworth, "Liked the school, hated the state,” would go on to play professionally in the state for 4 years, then coach in Oklahoma for another 9 years ...
