My favorite blues album of the decade, and one of my top 5 blues albums of all time. (Not counting 78s/45s; actual LP/CDs.) He only cut this one record and it was posthumously released on CD in 2004...

R-3261779-1517416529-4785.jpeg.jpg

And issued on vinyl later (2011)...

R-3261779-1517416527-2008.jpeg.jpg

Easily my favorite by the band, as well as being what I consider the gold standard for Southern/stoner rock. Released on March 23rd, 2004...

R-746507-1244354005.jpeg.jpg

It saw a later release (2011) as a 2xLP 180g pressing...

Probably their most diverse album. One of my favorites. They range from standard Motörhead rock and roll fare to borderline thrash (Killers), to straight up acoustic blues (Whorehouse Blues). From June 24th, 2004...

R-2048600-1362243733-6381.jpeg.jpg

And (German)...

Solid stoner rock. May 25th, 2004

And...

R-1269291-1474120176-2816.jpeg.jpg

And, of course, I have to include some guit-steel country/swing from 2004. CD only, sadly...

The American Record Company was founded in 1904. A single sided 10" from 1904...

Fonotipia Records was formed in 1904 in Italy. They were mainly an opera label. Double sided 10" from 1906...

And as we come to the end of the countdown, we get to the ever controversial Scott Brooks, who played at TCU as a Freshman and Sophomore but left and finished out at Cal-Irvine.  And while there are other #4s, Brooks will be my only option for Friday.  So here he is with the 1997 Knicks.

4 is probably my favorite single digit number. It just looks so clean to me.

Quincy Butler could ball. He and Drew Coleman both had longer than average NFL careers. I’d put them up with Verret and White as our best corner tandum ever.

CP4. What could have been.

Steven Coleman was a good player and damn those white jerseys are prob my fav of all time. So clean.

Steven Maxwell went to my HS. He was a year behind me and was probably the best player on the State Championship team that had Paul Goldschmidt and 1st round pick Kyle Drabek.

The mavs are stupid.

I forgot Caron Butler.  Pretty amazing that the Mavs won a title without their #2 scorer, and hard to remember that he was lost for that season on the same day the Frogs won the Rose Bowl.

Didn't he like chew straws during games?

2003 is a tough year for acceptable album postings for me.

Not only does it have my favorite track by them (C1), it is also what I consider their best from start to finish. From April Fools' Day 2003...

R-567336-1249586205.jpeg.jpg

And...

R-567336-1154620249.jpeg.jpg

There has only been a CD release of this. Even with it being their most successful album, it is still criminally underrated, in my opinion. From November 18th, 2003...

R-2370640-1384314155-6652.jpeg.jpg

As far as nu-metal goes, this wasn't terrible. Released on CD on May 20th, 2003...

R-13363584-1552804573-5805.png.jpg

This is less violent than most of the other options that I had. CD only release. Oh, and the recorder player on this is partially responsible for The Pirate Bay...

cover.jpg

This is borderline. I call it more thrash than death metal. A bit of a crossover album. At least the band's name, the album name, and the cover are all family friendly compared to about 95% of what my music collection for 2003 contains...

R-2119920-1419706189-7568.jpeg.jpg

I only have German record labels for 1903.

Beka was first producing records around this time. They would last until 1926 before they were sold to Columbia. From 1911...

beka-orchester-ouverture-zu-dichter-und-

And a label from 1913...

orchester-des-palais-de-danse-was-blumen

Odeon Records were founded in 1903. They probably were the first record label to release an album. In 1909, they sold Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite as a four-disc set of double sided records (when most labels were still making only one side of music). This was also one of, if not the first recording of a large orchestral work. From 1912...

Also from 1912...

Same here. I started cheering for them in 1993 after I visited up here for the first time. I certainly never thought I'd see what they've done the last 20 years.
