You'd think they could have at least waited until he actually punted the ball to snap the photo ...

Jim Busby's next-to-penultimate appearance in the countdown, top row, wearing #5 in his second tour of duty with the Go-Go White Sox ...

Can kinda almost tell from the A's picture but Newman wore #5 for the A's from 1976-1982 (including the 1979 All-Star game) and for the Red Sox from 1983-84.

Edit: Here's Jeff Newman with #5 exposed for the Sawks.  Don Baylor is batting and Wade Boggs is playing third ...

Damn. I missed #10 day. I was going to post a link to the 2017-18 table. You know, because 10 wins. #COYS

Did we manage that many last season? Might not get there this season.

Casey was such a gamer. Sad we never got to see him reach his full potential. But I’ll always remember him for that day on the Smurf Turf and his resilience to bounce back from mistakes and become a man.

(I’m 30 minutes early for #4 day, but I need to go to bed and wanted to make sure he was first.)

In his now penultimate appearance on the countdown, Jim Busby wore #4 for the Washington Senators in the first half of the 1955 season and with fellow Horned Frog Carl Warwick (#16) for the 1962 Colt .45s ...

It's been a month since we've seen Lee, who dropped down to single digits with the Magic, one of three teams he played for during the 2003-04 season.

And since I got one thumbs up and one thumbs down on Scott Brooks, I'll just note verbally that he wore #4 for the 1996-97 Knicks

So according to pro-football-reference.com, Josh Boyce wore #3 at some point for Cleveland and doesn't mention him wearing #82, but Google images only shows him in 82.  So I'll just post a head shot of Mr. Boyce for PD ....

Countdown hero Jim Busby, in his 10th and final appearance (12 different number-team combinations in all) wore #3 for the 1951-52 Pale Hose.  Busby was an All-Star in 1951, subbing in defensively for none other than Ted Williams late in the game ...

Milner wore #3 for the 1978 Blue Jays.  Does anybody know/remember his story?  His records in baseball-reference say he played in two games for the Jays as an 18-year old, but also says he went to TCU.  Did he go to TCU after his brief MLB stint?

Lambert "Little Dutch" Meyer (batting in 1945, according to the photo label, when he wore #24) wore #3 for the 1946 Cleveland Indians
