South Dakota grad transfer Matt Mooney is down to Creighton, Northwestern, Texas Tech, Utah State and Arizona State, he tells ESPN.

One of the best available grad transfers. 18.7 PPG this past season. @MoonSwag13

Beard already signed one grad transfer.  He's building a juggernaut out there in Lubbock.  I expect them to be very good as long as he's there.

TCU seniors Vladimir Brodziansky and Kenrich Williams will have the opportunity to play in from of representatives from every NBA team this week as they participate in the annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in Portsmouth, Va.

The Frogs stars are among the 64 professional men's basketball prospects chosen for this tournament, which will last four days.

I'd love to see the Rockets pick up KW34 with the last pick of draft... since they are picking last and all...

TCU at 80-1 means we have a chance!!

UTA 5000-1

Hahaha...

A mean, a $10 bet on UTA could net you $50k... not a bad deal. No worse than a scratch off

Portsmouth has been around forever.  Its a 'please, look at me' for seniors trying to get drafted these days.  Usually between 2 and 7 players in any given year who play there end up getting drafted, mostly in 2nd round.  With the proliferation of underclassmen and Euros getting drafted, and the draft only being 2 rounds, seniors these days sometimes get overlooked.  The fact that KWill and Vlad even got invited speaks volumes to the strides the program has made.  After the draft the NBA Summer Leagues will be the next opportunity to show what they can do to pro scouts.  You can be fairly sure some reps from Europe (agents and/or scouts) will be at Portsmouth, too.

Must have helped.  KWill reportedly 1 of of 5 Portsmouth attendees invited to the NBA draft combine.

TCU will be making a return trip this December to LA to play in the HOF Classic at the Staples Center.  This time around the opponent will be USC.

Hopefully they are able to tip off before midnight - although I'm still so glad I stayed up to watch that game against Nevada.

If his measurable are there, I really think he gets picked up in the late second round.

Go Kenrich! If you come to Portland, I'll make it to a game or two.

A somewhat bigger name than the normal home non conference flotsam and jetsam....but only in terms of the sheer length of that name.

TCU women’s basketball adds Abi Olajuwon to staff

A familiar name is joining TCU’s coaching staff.

TCU announced Abi Olajuwon will join coach Raegan Pebley’s staff as an assistant.

Olajuwon played at Oklahoma in college. She spent two seasons in the WNBA with the Tulsa Shock and Chicago Sky before beginning her coaching career in 2014. And yes, she’s the daughter of former Houston Rockets star Hakeem Olajuwon.

Reports are that the preliminary round game in the Diamond Head Classic will have Indiana State playing at the Scholl.  Since the Diamond Head tourney runs a traditional 8 team bracket (as opposed to most of these other tourneys, which run dual 4 team brackets on site), this should be the only tourney-related campus game.

TCU will host Cal State Bakersfield as part of its 2018-19 non-conference schedule, per a source. Replaces Cal State Fullerton game.

Fresno State as well.

TCU will host Fresno State as part of its 2018-19 non-conference schedule, per a source.

So that's Indiana State, Cal State Bakersfield, Fresno State, USC, SMU (presumably), someone from the SEC, and 3 games at the Diamond Head Classic (Indiana State, Charlotte, Colorado, Rhode Island, St Mary's, UNLV and Hawaii).  Expecting 13 games, so that leaves 4 more.
