As y'all probably know, Zebra sent me a Don Cherry CD....very overlooked or forgotten singer from 50 years ago....if you have a chance, revisit ``Band of Gold" by Cherry....

That's him.....I had no idea he is still living (age 89 now, I guess).....didn't know he and i shared the same hometown (Wichita Falls).....guess that's why I like his songs.

Current trends on my Spotify:

-Green River Ordinance (FW guys, TCU guys, CCBC guys. Good dudes and good tunes)

-Andrew Sullivan (I think I'm required to plug my former roommie as his former bassist)

-Paul Eason

-Brison Bursey Band

-Kacey Musgraves (so hot)

-Josh Weathers

-Band Of Heathens

-JB & The Moonshine Band

-Jason Eady

If y'all aren't on the Josh Weathers train, I suggest you jump on. Local FW guy, probably one of the hardest working dudes I've ever seen in the music industry, and his. Band. Can. Jam.

Here's a little Whitney Houston he covered

Boston, it's a new slate, baby. We can recycle all our favorites! This one is for RSF.

I really bombed that other thread, though. I couldn't possibly remember what all I put on there, and I'm not going back to find out. But still...my favorite band of all time
