I haven't paid much attention to D1Baseball the last couple of years due to their paywalling damn near everything. A day late here, but still a honest and fair take from them -

TCU impressive for second-straight day

The Horned Frogs had what was a rather odd 2019 campaign. They didn’t finish especially strong, but still found a way to the NCAA tournament. Well, the Frogs are looking to leave no doubt this spring, and it’s so far so good this weekend against Kentucky. After seeing righthander Johnny Ray lead the team in the season opener, the Frogs impressed yet again Saturday afternoon in a series-clinching 7-1 win over UK.

TCU righthander Charles King, who was slated to come out of the bullpen in the preseason survey, got the starting nod for the Frogs. He didn’t disappoint. He struck out two, didn’t walk anyone and allowed a run on three hits in six innings, while Austin Krob tossed two shutout innings and Jacob Meador tossed a shutout frame out of the bullpen.

From an offensive standpoint, Gray Rodgers had a pair of doubles and Hunter Wolfe also had a big afternoon with a double.

Kentucky was picked near the bottom of the SEC East for a reason. So, we’re not ready to anoint the Frogs world beaters. But how the Frogs have done it this weekend is impressive.

I’m intrigued to see what TCU does moving forward.
