  1. Try one of the links on the last page of this thread: http://livetv.sx/en/forum/showthread/62/20/
  2. Much better than the nickname for the Deer Park HS dance team. The Deer Park Escorts. I kid you not. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Deer-Escort-Booster-Club/124386464479
  3. I guess you've sold all your Apple stock? http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-campus-2-january-photo-update-2015-1
  4. Amateur status. Ha. That's a good one. http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/10/the-shame-of-college-sports/308643/ But I guess one can play in another sport, right? The baseball washouts do it fairly frequently.
  5. I know you're being facetious, but your comment, taken together with the "can I go back to college" ad featuring Bosworth, Leinert, et al, raises an interesting theoretical question. Can an athlete who left school early to pursue a professional career return to play collegiate ball, assuming he still had eligibility remaining when he left school? You see the occasional story of a former soldier, etc. making a go of it. But what about an NBA or other professional wash-out?
  6. Sounds like a nice convenient opening for a contract revision, which could be exploited to address expanding to 6-8 teams. Make it so.
  7. Apparently her game is to score early and often.
  8. Very interesting resource. Page 104 when it displayed on my iPad. $120 though. I'll have to think about that. Thanks so much FA. I didn't know that site existed.
  9. Bump, for a reason. My dad was a senior in 1955-56 (student body president that year). He talks about one particular Swink run in the Texas game as the most amazing run he's ever seen in football. I've heard others make the same claim. He and I have really enjoyed talking frog football this year (I'm a late-80s frog and my daughter is there now). I've searched far and wide on the interwebz to find a video of 1955 TCU@UT highlights, in particular the Swink run, but can't. Perhaps someone more enterprising can find it? I'd greatly appreciate it. My dad is getting on in age and showing him a video of that run would bring him some real joy.
  10. Got my dad a TCU alumni shirt, myself a B12 Champs shirt (to wear whenever I pass through Waco), and my daughter multiple TCU and purple articles (she's a soph). Oh, and Peach Bowl tickets, hotel reservations, Pensacola Beach hotel reservations on e way, etc.).
  11. Yes he did. Brutal. Jim Swink was Mr. Everything that game, but it,wasn't enough without Curtis. Here's the thread on the following year's game, but a mention of the 1955 game. The1955 game was one of the all-time classics: http://www.thefroghorn.com/index.php/topic/4956-get-fired-up-read-about-the-1957-cotton-bowl
  12. Darn us westsiders. It's obvious we can't stand a little fog. Apparently we're all sitting at our computers somewhere donating money. How lazy of us. We obviously don't care.
  13. Art Briles: Ranking TCU ahead of Baylor not 'the American way' ... Briles on Thursday told ESPN's "Mike and Mike" radio show that TCU being ranked ahead of Baylor isn't "the American way," per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "What country do we live in? I think it's America," Briles said. "That's kind of always been the American way. If there's a conflict or a doubt, you put two people in the ring and they fight. There's a winner. If there's a question who's the fastest guy, you put them on the track and the fastest guy is the guy you pick. That's kind of how I see it. It's a democratic society." ... http://www.nfl.com/n...he-american-way Nothing like waving the flag to get people worked up. Guess we and the CFP are a bunch of long-haired hippie-type pinkos.

The shot didn't seem worse than the one that Petty took, and Catalon looked far less impaired than Petty did. But we all expect to see Petty out there against the Fighting Snyders. To me, this speaks very well of our concussion protocol, and not so much about the Baylor one. My guess is that as soon as Petty got access to the internet, he googled "concussion symptoms," and has then made sure that he did not complain about any of them. Too bad for him. I really hope that he does not permanently hurt himself.
