Babysis DTF is moving into the dorms tomorrow! Apparently it is their largest Freshman class ever... She is living in a "triple" which is a converted lounge in Shirley.

A few memorable Frog 25s: Kevin White Walter Roach Ryan Carroll Terry Trofholz The Tortilla Tip and the half-dozen heart attacks I had watching it produced the 25th all-time win for TCU over Texas Tech. ...and one bonus 25:

Nick Chappell and Trevor Johnson are on opposite sides of the net in the main doubles draw at the Edwardsville (Illinois) Futures. Nick and partner Julian Bradley (Ireland) are the 2-seed and took the first set 6-1. Trevor and Alex Knight (University of Michigan) are already down a break, 1-2, in the second set. Nick and Trevor are both competing in the main singles tounament as well, but today's singles matches were canceled. And, for the record, I'm no tennis expert. I got hooked on TCU tennis when I went to see them at the NCAA tournament in Athens, GA, in 2000, and now I have time in the summer to Google stuff.

-Arrieta tossed 8 shutout innings against Arizona last night, but the Phillies bullpen spoiled it and he has to settle for a no-decision. Drops his ERA to 3.11, though. Next start is Sunday in San Diego. -Carpenter's trophy case is filling up - on top of his NL Player of the Month Award, he's now been named NL Player of the Week two of the last three weeks. He's got 3 HR and 8 RBI in his last 10 games, bringing his season average up to .282 to go along with 29 HR (leads the NL), 61 RBI and a .984 OPS. -Cashner looks to rebound from his disastrous start in Arlington when he takes the mound Wednesday night against the Rays at The Trop. -Holaday went 1-for-4 in his last start for the Marlins. For the season (44 games), he's hitting .175 with 1 HR, 12 RBI and a .443 OPS

Linzy Cole Marvin White. He also wore #25 in 3 games for the 2009 Cowboys but I couldn't find a picture ... No pic for Jason Goss who wore #25 in 4 games for the 2003 Cardinals. Pete Donohue wore #25 for the 1932 Red Sox. I found one picture of him in a Red Sox uni, but I couldn't get it to post.

Here's something interesting I picked up from the Frog Cast over lunch. Freshman WR John Stephens is the half-brother of the reigning US Open champ and French Open runner-up Sloane Stephens. His dad was NFL running back John Stephens who was rookie of the year with the Pats back in 1988. The dad apparently died in a car crash back in 2009. Judging from Sloane Stephens's wikipedia, it looks like she and John probably never lived together in a family unit but it's still a cool little factoid. BTW, here's a link to the podcast. https://247sports.com/college/tcu/Article/Its-time-for-another-edition-of-the-HornedFrogBlitz-FrogCast-87-120454026/

Very interesting article on 247 about the QB's https://247sports.com/college/tcu/Article/The-starting-quarterback-competition-at-TCU-is-still-neck-and-neck-according-to-offensive-coordinator-Sonny-Cumbie-120439912/ I think Robinson will start. And I thought a lot of the Collins stuff was smoke like Joekel in 2014. But the Niko Small quote was interesting.

I’m not saying all of them deserve to be in the top 50 Kyler doesn’t deserve to be in the top 200.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I was digging around a little on Linzy Cole (spurred on by his appearances in the Countdown thread) and found this old 2012 piece written for the mtn which features Cole, Bubba Thornton, and Jerry LeVias. A little bit about TCU history for those interested ... Forget Me Not: Linzy Cole Quietly Revolutionized TCU Football

Yeah, it's been raining all day throughout Illinois and I'm surprised that they're getting the doubles in. In singles, Trevor is scheduled to play Sebastien Boltz (ATP#523, but with a CH of #276), a Frenchman vet and Nick is scheduled to play Aziz Dougaz, a Tunisian who plays for Florida State (ATP#499 - his CH) - probably tomorrow in the Round of 32. Why can't Nick and Trevor play together??!! Wow - Trevor and Knight came back to win it; 7-6 (8-6) in the 2nd and 10-5 in the super-breaker.

Kyler Murray? Seriously? I would put Ben Banogu, Darius Anderson, Ty Summers, Jalen Reagor and Ross Blacklock above Murray.
